Leadership development services

Build leadership habits that hold up in real work.

GRIFFOX designs practical development for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders. The work begins with the situations they actually face—decisions, conversations, competing priorities, and the responsibility to follow through.

Programs are shaped around your organization, your people, and the conditions in which they lead.

A working principle

Development should travel back to the job.

A strong session can create energy. Leadership development becomes useful when that energy changes how people prepare, decide, communicate, coach, and act.

That is why GRIFFOX treats the learning experience and the operating environment as part of the same assignment.

01

Context before curriculum

The design starts with the work, pressure points, and expectations leaders already carry.

02

Practice before polish

Leaders work through realistic situations rather than listening to concepts in isolation.

03

Application between sessions

Useful tools and assignments help participants try new approaches while the work is happening.

04

Progress discussed openly

Reflection, observation, and agreed indicators help the organization see what is changing and what still needs attention.

Service pathways

A format for the leadership need in front of you.

Some organizations need a common foundation for supervisors. Others need focused support for experienced managers, a leadership team, or a specific challenge. The structure follows the need.

Cadence, group size, and included follow-through are agreed after discovery—not pulled from a standard package that may not fit.

01

Supervisor fundamentals

Practical development for people who are newly responsible for the work and performance of others.

  • Expectations and accountability
  • Feedback and coaching conversations
  • Conflict, service recovery, and follow-through
02

Leadership cohorts

A shared learning journey for managers who need a common language and stronger ways of working across teams.

  • Decision-making and prioritization
  • Communication across roles and functions
  • Application to current organizational work
03

Executive and team coaching

Focused support for senior leaders or leadership teams navigating complexity, growth, or change.

  • Strategic focus and role clarity
  • Leadership-team alignment
  • Reflection tied to live decisions
04

Focused workshops and intensives

Concentrated sessions for a defined capability, operating challenge, retreat, or turning point.

  • Facilitated practice and case work
  • Tools participants can use immediately
  • Clear next actions and ownership

Who the work can serve

Different responsibilities require different practice.

The same concept lands differently for a first-time supervisor, an experienced manager, and an executive team. GRIFFOX adjusts the work accordingly.

Frontline leadership

New and experienced supervisors

For leaders balancing daily delivery, people responsibility, service expectations, and difficult conversations.

Mid-level leadership

Managers and program leaders

For leaders translating direction into coordinated work across priorities, teams, and organizational boundaries.

Senior leadership

Executives and leadership teams

For leaders setting direction, aligning the system, and creating conditions in which others can perform.

A practical learning arc

From the situation to a different way of working.

The exact design varies, but the movement is consistent: understand the work, practice what matters, apply it, and learn from what happens next.

01

Understand the operating context

Clarify the audience, expectations, constraints, current practices, and the leadership situations that matter most.

02

Design for practice

Build sessions around realistic decisions, conversations, cases, and tools—not a generic sequence of topics.

03

Apply learning in the work

Participants test relevant approaches between sessions and bring their experience back into the learning process.

04

Review and reinforce

Leaders and sponsors consider what is taking hold, what is getting in the way, and what support makes sense next.

Formats may be virtual, onsite, or hybrid. Program length and follow-through depend on the scope, audience, and organizational context.

What the engagement can include

Built around application—not attendance.

A leadership program can combine facilitated learning with coaching, workplace application, sponsor conversations, and practical tools. The right combination depends on what leaders need to do differently.

  • 01
    Discovery and design
Interviews, working sessions, or document review to understand the need.
  • 02
    Facilitated learning
Cases, practice, peer discussion, and tools connected to participants’ responsibilities.
  • 03
    Coaching and application
Individual or group support that keeps the learning close to current work.
  • 04
    Progress review
Agreed observations or indicators, discussed with appropriate context and without promising a predetermined result.

Connection to the GLCM

Learning does not happen outside the organization.

Where it fits the assignment, GRIFFOX draws on the GRIFFOX Layered Cake Model™ to connect leadership development with the organization’s current reality, implementation work, learning, and strategic direction.

This helps keep development from becoming a separate activity with no path back into operations. It does not mean every program uses every part of the model.

Current realityWhat leaders are working within now.
ImplementationWhat they need to do differently in practice.
LearningWhat experience reveals and improves.
DirectionWhat the organization is trying to make possible.

Questions organizations ask

Before a program takes shape.

These answers describe how GRIFFOX approaches the work. A specific recommendation comes after learning about your situation.

Who are the programs designed for?

GRIFFOX works with supervisors, managers, senior leaders, and leadership teams. A program may focus on one level or bring several levels together when the organization needs stronger alignment across roles.

What can a leadership development engagement include?

Depending on the need, an engagement can include discovery, facilitated workshops, cohort sessions, coaching, workplace assignments, participant tools, and sponsor or progress conversations. The final scope is agreed before work begins.

Can you work with our existing competency model or HR process?

Yes. When an organization already has useful language, competencies, or performance processes, GRIFFOX can design the work to reinforce them rather than introduce a competing system.

How are outcomes considered?

GRIFFOX and the client identify appropriate signs of progress for the assignment. These may include observed practices, participant application, manager feedback, or relevant operating indicators. Results are interpreted in context; no single program can guarantee a predetermined organizational outcome.

Do you offer virtual and onsite delivery?

Yes. Work may be virtual, onsite, or hybrid. The format depends on the audience, location, objectives, and the kind of practice the program requires.

A useful first conversation

What are your leaders being asked to carry?

Tell us about the audience, the work, and what is making leadership harder than it needs to be. We can then discuss whether a program, workshop, or coaching engagement is the right fit.
