Leadership Development and Strategy Consulting
for organizations navigating continuous change

GRIFFOX provides leadership development and strategy consulting for public- and private-sector organizations
that need to strengthen leadership, translate strategy into practice, and navigate change across teams and operations.

Our work is informed by the GRIFFOX Layered Cake Model™—a structured, recursive model created
by Harald Lavric to connect organizational reality with implementation, learning, and strategic outcomes.

Strategy becomes useful when leaders, teams, and operations can act on it together.

The challenge is rarely a lack of activity. It is a lack of connection.

The organizational challenge

Change rarely happens in one place

An individual initiative can be well planned and still create problems elsewhere in the organization.
Teams may be working on several changes at once. Operational responsibilities continue. Capacity is limited.

Decisions made at the enterprise level may look very different when they reach the people and units expected
to implement them. The GLCM began as a way to give individual change initiatives a clearer structure. It has
since developed into a wider architecture connecting three perspectives.

  1. Initiative-level structure

A defined Change Unit understands its Foundation, establishes a Framework, implements change,
recalibrates when necessary, and works toward a meaningful Goal.

  2. Operational ownership

Change becomes part of the teams and operational units expected to work differently—not something
delivered to them from somewhere else.

  3. Enterprise-level governance

Leaders interpret signals across initiatives, understand cumulative effects, protect capacity,
and make better decisions across the organization.

The signature model

The GRIFFOX Layered Cake Model™

Meaningful change must be built on what already exists. Every organization brings history, experience,
relationships, systems, culture, and earlier change outcomes into the next initiative.

The model is structured, but it is not a rigid checklist. Reflection and learning occur throughout.
Movement between layers depends on context, readiness, capacity, evidence, and management decisions.

The creator and the body of work

Developed from more than three decades of organizational experience

Harald Lavric created the GLCM after working across customer service, auditing, organizational development,
compliance, risk management, leadership, and change.

The model grew from a recurring observation: organizations often have capable people, established methods,
projects, data, and strategic goals, yet the connections among them remain fragmented. The GLCM is Harald’s
attempt to make those connections more visible, understandable, and governable.

He is developing the GLCM book and a wider body of writing about initiative-level change, operational
ownership, enterprise governance, and continuous organizational adaptation.

The goal is not to replace every method an organization already uses. It is to help leaders see how the work
connects—and where the next decision truly belongs.
