Ideas for organizations working through continuous change.
Essays and practical observations on the work between a decision and the reality it creates—across leadership, operations, and the enterprise.
The editorial premise
Organizational problems rarely stay inside one function.
A decision can make sense at one level and still create friction somewhere else. Teams absorb several changes at once. Operational work continues. Capacity is finite. The essays collected here stay with that middle ground: what people must understand, coordinate, carry, and revise as change moves through an organization.
Some pieces are directly practical. Others develop the thinking behind the GRIFFOX Layered Cake Model™. None are presented as universal answers. The purpose is to make the organizational reality easier to see—and therefore easier to work with.

A model for change that does not happen in one place.
The GRIFFOX Layered Cake Model™ began as a way to give an individual change initiative a clearer structure. It has developed into a broader architecture connecting the initiative, the operational environment around it, and the enterprise that must interpret cumulative effects.
The public overview explains the model’s premise and architecture without publishing the full working method. A book-length treatment is in development.
